Legal Defense Fund, Marshall led a barrage of cases against segregation (winning 29 of 32 of them (McCoy 15)), eventually persuading the Supreme Court to integrate a law school in Missouri, strike down white-only primary election in Texas, and repeal Virginia's segregated interstate bus system (Cohen 172). His greatest victory, however, came when he led the N.A.A.C.P to victory in Brown v. Board of Education, a case that ended "separate but equal" open school laws forever (Cohen 172). Marshall would, in coming years, social occasion his legal triumphs to fuel other attacks on racism, forcing the courts to apply the principles of justness and equality that now held in classrooms to other areas ranging from public house to segregated beaches (Cohen 172).
