My passion for the community and the youth in it grows with every year I work and live here. I have been on my own since eighteen fetching care of myself and I struggled alone, but my goal is to show young people who are in my situation that they can succeed. I want to educate youth on the resources and opportunities that they have. So I have found myself doing a lot of community work. I have worked for AmeriCorps for a year working with youth, I have helped facilitate and plan many workshops, dialogue sessions and successful events.
