This study identifies the benefits and problems of rural-urban migration from apprehension of the non-migrants. The study found that non-migrants socio-economic characteristics do not influence their perception of benefits of rural urban migration and the longer non-migrants stay in the rural area, the higher their perception of the problems of rural-urban migration. The study also shows that all the respondents are undecided on the economic problems arising from rural-urban migration. The study further observe that the perception of non-migrants on benefits and problems from rural-urban migration is influenced in general by the martial luck and length of residence of the rural nonmigrant.
