It was vertical a couple days before Christmas, and ever since Michael and Ben had gotten bug out of school for Christmas break, Ben had spent every night out with his friends. I always have to be home by 10:00 no matter what. Its not fair; Im 15 geezerhood old, Im not a child anymore and I appreciate I can take cargon of myself. Just because Ben is 17 he thinks he can do anything. Why are things so unfair, Michael thought to himself as he got ready for bed.
As he lay in bed that night so legion(predicate) thoughts went through his mind. It didnt seem like I had as legion(predicate) gifts under the tree as Ben did tonight, Michael thought, he gets to do everything, and I dont get to do anything, ever. Michael could not get any kip that night because he could not stop thinking to the highest degree how awful his life was. It seemed that he had nothing that he could phone call his own. As Michael dwelt on how his parents must love Ben more, his feelings of self-pity slowly off into hatred for his brother.
Michael finally fell asleep. He had an awful vision that night. He had dreamt that it was Christmas morning.
He was so excited as he jumped out of bed and ran downstairs excitedly, but when he reached the sound of the stairs, his entire family was sit down in the kitchen crying. His mom, dad, grandparents, and aunts and uncles were all sitting close to the dining table crying. Michael also saw himself just sitting there.
