Well life in effect(p) doesnt work like that does it, as we follow Glenn as a young teacher learn to play by the rules of the school, learning to fight the rules of the school and learning to grow with the school and his pupils. We condition the transformation from the young teacher whose musical ideals are more important to him than his teaching to a Music Teacher who has learnt to spot teaching music and love helping young minds to pick up the most out of music and themselves.
As the story unfolds and we pass along through his life you see his password born and slightly hilarious scenes getting there, to the discovery that lolly (his son) was born deaf. You come up their turmoil and watch how they learn to cope or not to cope end-to-end their sons life.
There are some authentically touching moments throughout the movie not only with Glenn and his son boodle, but with his students, the film covers the progress of individual students he has helped throughout his 31yr career as a teacher.

Glenn Holland Richard Dreyfuss was excellent pickaxe for this part, he was absolutely superb in the part, I submit seen Richard in many films over the years and I cannot commemorate of anyone better. Hand on heart if you watch this movie you depart see just how suited to the part he was.
Iris Holland Glenne Headly she played a brilliant supporting role to Dreyfuss as his wife, I felt the way the director got her to respond to trusted situations in the movie showed the character she played as a woman with a lot of dignity and love for her family.
