The Children of Leningradsky

Post soviet Russia has left hand hundreds of thousands of children living on the streets. The Children of Leningradsky focuses on a group of children that make up in the Moscow train station Leningradsky. The documentary honours the children everyplace to reveal the routine desperation that is ignored daily by al around everyone. This is no simple task. Hanna Polak goes to great lengths to capture the most intimate details of their daily routine. In order for Hanna to follow so closely she keeps her level of personal involvement in the childrens lives at a distance. After seeing the warmth wrenching footage it can be argued that Hanna made morally pitiable decisions but it is doubtful that the resulting images would have been such a fresh representation of the childrens plight.
Hanna introduces viewers to several of the children by grave their heartbreaking stories. Viewers are sucked in later consultation the devastating stories that lead to their lonely unguided lives and then figure exactly what that life looks like. Hanna follows them throughout their day watching them resting in subway stations, begging for food, and sleeping by hot pee pipes.



Without parental guidance, we eventually see the kids engaging in poor behavior some of which is detrimental to their health. The kids are cursing, fighting, drinking, smoking, and huffing gumwood. dead the kids we quickly came to love are harming themselves and the only person open(a) of stepping in is just pointing a camera making us watch. It is easy to accuse Hanna of being careless especially after she follows the children to show us that their only hobby is huffing glue to pass the time. Such awful behavior is obviously flagitious for the children but Hanna just watches the children destroy their brains one after another.
