INTTRODUCTION Reading, which belongs to receptive skill, can be defined as a process whereby one looks at and pictures what has been write (Williams, 1999: 2). It means that, when someone reads, he looks at something written and tries to push the intend to understand it. Reading can alike be described as a mental or cognitive process which involves a reader in stressful to follow and respond to a message from a writer, who is in distant space and clock time (Davies, 1995: 1). It means that reading practise connects the reader and the writer although they ar in different time and place; for example reading an ancient book, reading ain letter, etc. As a general rule, the reason for teaching-learning reading to the students is beca handling it belongs to the basal language skills in English, just as all important(p) as speaking, listening, and writing.
