Benjamin Franklin was born January 17, 1706 in Boston. His father Josiah was a soap maker. His receive was Akiah Folger, Josiahs second wife. They had 13 children. When he returned in 1775 he started working on Independence from England. In 1776 Ben Franklin was considered one of our founding fathers, signing the Declaration of Independence.
