Who Wrote Holden Caulfield
Lyrics in the music we listen to and our literature has invariably been closely related. The words in a song, or commonly known as the lyrics, are other form of writing a person uses to express themselves. right away to bring me to my point, the lyrics in the song Who Wrote Holden Caulfield by Green daytime relates to the Character, Holden Caulfield from the novel The Catcher in the Rye.
The lyric, Theres no motivation and frustration makes him crazy, goes with how Holden always says he wishs to do fewthing, alone then he ends up not feeling broadred it and eventually ends up frustrated because he didnt do it. A good typesetters case is when Holden had the chance to strike Jane, an old friend, and didnt feel like going down to see her, but then later on was frustrated because he kept thinking about her and Stadlater trying to make a move. He then kind of wished he would of went down and visited with her.
The lyric, soulfulness help him or hes gonna end up quitting, relates to how Holden needs someone to, as the book says, help him. Holden dialog about running away and starting a pertly life and just quitting the one he has.
He is always running in the novel, but he finally has no other option than to go to his former English teacher, Mr. Antiloni, who gives him some advice that he later on under patronages.
The lyric, He makes a devise to take a stand but always ends up sitting, correlates to how Holden will try to make a friend, or stand up for something, but in the end he fails. An example would be when Holden is talking to Luce and seems to only keep aggravating him and in the end Luce just ends up saying he has to go and leaves. Holden states that he never really had a liking for Luce in the first place, but he was starving for some kind of companionship. He just wanted someone and even though Holden tried to be friendly he pushed Luce away.
