The Institute for Labour grocery Policy Evaluation (IFAU) is a research institute on a lower floor the Swedish Ministry of Employment, situated in Uppsala. IFAUs objective is to promote, subscribe and carry out: evaluations of the effects of comprehend market policies, studies of the cognitive process of the labour market, evaluations of the labour market effects of measures within the educational system and evaluations of the effects of the social insurance on the labour market. Besides research, IFAU in addition works on: spreading fellowship about the activities of the institute through publications, seminars, courses, workshops and conferences; influencing the collection of data and devising data easily available to researchers all over the country. IFAU also provides funding for research projects within its areas of interest. The deadline for applications is October 1 each year. Since the researchers at IFAU are mainly economists, researchers from other disciplines are encouraged to apply for funding. IFAU is run by a Director-General. The authority has a scientific council, consisting of a chairman, the Director-General and five other members.
