The LGBT residential district (lesbian, homophile(a), bisexual, transgender) has make strides in America in the past decade. It was non until drop dead year that homosexuals were allowed to visit their partners in the hospital. Even more recently, the LGBT residential district had a huge victory when Dont invite Dont Tell was repealed from the military. Companies are realizing how important the LGBT community is to their businesses and rewarding the community by offering domestic confederacy insurance and benefits. This is a choice and non a reas bingled obligation for companies. However, a major battle that the LGBT community is fight for is the right to marry their partner.
sunny marriage has been a impatient topic in the news for a number of historic period now and while the LGBT community has been successful in acquiring marriage legalized in some states, the battle is far from over. Gay marriage should be legalized in all states because doing so would be constitutional and ensure equality for all citizens who desire to marry. However, those who do not support gay marriage seem to forget this. Many who oppose gay marriage, oppose it for religious reasons, claiming the bible condemns the actions of those who are homosexual. Regardless of what one believes the bible says the decision of whether gay marriage should be legalized should be made solely with the citizens in mind. This means laws that govern the citizens should be based on fair and equal treatment and not religious beliefs. The wonderful thing about the separation of church and state is that those religious temples who oppose gay marriage would not have to recognize it under their roof.
