From the very first immigrants of England in the 1600s to the contradictory born residents in the late 1900s, America is a nation built by and for immigrants. Whether it was by force or by will, to seek exemption from hardships or attain a break away life, immigrants subscribe built this country. Nevertheless, they have all suffered certain persecutions on the way. The first immigrants arrived searching for religious freedoms and settled in Virginia (1607). then the first set of African slaves came in 1619.
