Harvey Shelley Professor Langford CJAD 415 02/26/2012 I chose Justice Sandra Day OConnor to do my research paper on, because she was the first female put forward as a United States Supreme court justice. She was nominate in 1981 by President Ronald Reagan. She was born March 26, 1930, in El Paso, Texas, to the parents of Harry Alfred Day and Ada Mae Wilkey.
